BARBARA LAUBACH
Founder and President
Barbara helped found MBL Energy in 2002, alongside her husband, Mark Laubach. In fact, she’s the “B” in MBL. After Mark passed in 2014, Barbara has since taken on leadership of the company, quadrupling it the last four years. She's brought new innovations, talent and best practices to suit the needs of MBL's client base. Although the company has seen tremendous growth, her objective with the company remains the same; stewardship of her employees and (solar construction) resources. With over 30 years of working in the construction industry, Barbara’s background, knowledge and attention to detail, allow her to drive the company forward, and provide the vision that it needs to thrive in an ever changing market. She also invests in the lives of her employees, caring about each one as “a part of the MBL family.” She feels God has given her MBL Energy and she’s very grateful for the opportunity to be leading such a great team in a dynamic industry.
ROBERT LAUBACH
Chief Executive Officer
Robert has been in the construction industry for 25 years, and holds a contractor's license in multiple states. Initially he worked summers through his time at Santa Clara University and later, the Wharton School of Business. With his combination of formal education and construction experience, this has given him the background needed to lead MBL into the distributed generation market and become MBL's Chief Executive Officer. His patented, UL certified Beacon™ Clip enabled a much more efficient and safe installation process on large solar arrays. Robert continues to lead MBL with the innovation, drive and passion needed to adapt in an evolving industry. He has seen the company expand from its original beginnings, to its current form: a capable, efficient and driven firm, dedicated to building a solid company culture and having happy customers. When Robert is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Corey of 25 years, and four boys. His friends and family call him “Buff;” a childhood nickname that has lasted through the years.
Jim, a native Northern Californian, joined the MBL family in 2007, and is an integral part of the business as Chief Operations Officer. With 22 years of experience in construction, Jim leads the company’s operations as a champion in the industry. Jim is focused on customer success through ensuring competency, safety and efficiency of his workforce. Jim is dedicated to managing his field employees, and is driven to exceed customer expectations. Jim’s unique and successful leadership style has enabled the company to retain and leverage highly skilled and tenured construction professionals. You'll often see Jim in the field, working along side his teams to personally ensure client success. When Jim isn’t on a job site, you’ll find him spending his free time hunting and fishing.
